Presented by Dallas Bites and ranked the “Best Tour in Dallas” by the Dallas Observer, this is an utterly delectable survey of—take a guess—among the city’s very best tacos and margaritas, which we don’t need to tell you make a killer combination. You’ll travel in style aboard an air-conditioned motorcoach as you hop your way between the outstanding featured establishments.

National Polka Festival (Friday, May 28 – Sunday, May 30)

Get your oompah on at the National Polka Festival in nearby Ennis, Texas! This three-day blowout includes a lively downtown parade, the King & Queen Dance Contest, and some 15 live polka bands—plus plenty of traditional Czech costumery, or kroj.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra Performs Stravinsky’s The Firebird: Suite

On Friday and Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend at 7:30 PM and on Sunday at 2:30 PM, acclaimed Israeli violinist Vadim Gluzman will join the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for an exceptional program of three works. First up’s Glinka’s Overture to Russlan and Ludvilla, then Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in G minor, and finally Igor Stravinsky’s The Firebird: Suite, his 1945 adaptation of the earlier ballet that launched his international career.

Kelley Family Days at the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden

If you’re staying at Hotel Crescent Court with your kids, consider marking Memorial Day Weekend with Kelley Family Days over at the much-loved Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden. This event, held a few times this year, offers free entry (with general garden admission) into the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden, a fun, interactive space for learning and exploration.
